Energy Facility Siting Council to meet December 4 in The Dalles

SALEM — Habitat mitigation at three wind farms in north central Oregon will be the focus of discussion at the next Energy Facility Siting Council meeting on December 4. The meeting is open to the public and begins at 9 a.m. at the Discovery Center, 5000 Discovery Dr., in The Dalles.
The main items on the Council’s agenda include: • Leaning Juniper IIA and IIB (Gilliam County): Consideration of updated habitat mitigation plans. • Summit Ridge Wind Farm (Wasco County): An update on the facility’s habitat mitigation surveys. • Montague Wind Power Facility (Gilliam County): Consideration of a request to extend the construction start and completion dates by two years and two requests for a contested case proceeding on the Proposed Order. • Rulemaking: An update on current rulemaking and consideration of future rulemaking priorities.
