Oregon Awarded $86.6 Million Solar for All Grant to Support Renewable Energy for Low-income Oregonians

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced that Oregon will receive an $86.6 million Solar for All grant to support renewable energy adoption for low-income Oregonians. The Oregon Solar for All Coalition – which includes the Oregon Department of Energy, Energy Trust of Oregon, and Bonneville Environmental Foundation – applied for the funding last fall.

ODOE Report Highlights Solar + Storage Rebate Program Progress

Since its launch in January, the program has already issued 174 rebates for completed residential solar projects, including 11 that also installed storage. An additional 144 rebates are reserved for projects in the works, including 33 proposed projects for low-income service providers.

ODOE to Hold Two Public Information Meetings in November on Proposed Utility-Scale Solar Projects

The Energy Facility Siting Council is currently reviewing seven proposed state-jurisdiction facilities in Oregon. Two of those facilities, Bakeoven Solar Project and Obsidian Solar Center, recently submitted complete applications for a site certificate. Now, ODOE will host informational meetings about each proposed facility so Oregonians can learn more about them.
