SALEM — Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council will meet via teleconference on Thursday, March 23. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m.

Those wishing to call in to the meeting should dial 877-873-8017, then enter code 799345.

The two items on the Council’s agenda include:

  • Solar Projects in Crook County: The Council will consider whether or not it will, at a later date, review and decide upon a request for a declaratory ruling recently submitted by Avangrid Renewables. On February 6, 2017, Avangrid Renewables submitted a petition for declaratory ruling to the Department seeking a ruling from the Council that two solar facilities in Crook County are considered independent projects subject to county land use permitting, and not one project subject to EFSC jurisdiction.
  • Boardman to Hemingway Transmission Line: The Council will consider the appointment of a third-party contractor to assist department staff in its review of compliance with noise regulations in the application for site certificate.

The full meeting agenda is available on the Oregon Department of Energy website: www.oregon.gov/energy/facilities-safety/facilities/Pages/Council-Meetings.aspx.

The next EFSC meeting is scheduled for April 27-28.

To request an interpreter for the hearing impaired or accommodations for persons with disabilities, please contact the department at least 72 hours before the meeting at 1-800-221-8035 or fax 503-373-7806. TTY users should call the Oregon Relay Service at 711.
