Background on USDOE Proposal

The USDOE has retrieved most of the waste from 16 single-shell waste tanks at Hanford C Tank Farm. USDOE is proposing to reclassify the remaining tank waste as low-level radioactive waste so that it can remain at Hanford. Read USDOE’s complete proposal online.
