Energy Facility Siting Council to Meet Remotely June 25-26

SALEM — The next regularly scheduled meeting of Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council will be held virtually Thursday and Friday, June 25-26, 2020. The public meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

The main items on the Council’s agenda:

  • Rulemaking Hearing on Proposed Carbon Monetary Offset Rate Increase – The Council will receive public comments on the proposed increase to the Carbon Monetary Offset Rate under OAR 345-024-0580.

  • Rulemaking Hearing on Proposed Rules to Clarify Standard for Contested Case Requests for Type A Amendments – The Council will receive public comments on the proposed change to OAR 345-027-0371(9), which is intended to clarify the standard for an issue to justify a contested case proceeding under the Type A amendment review process.

  • Rulemaking Hearing on Proposed Solar Photovoltaic Facility Rules – The Council will receive public comments on proposed rules intended to clarify the application and interpretation of jurisdictional thresholds for solar photovoltaic power generation facilities.

There will be opportunities for the public to comment both days.
