ODOE to Hold Two Public Information Meetings in November on Proposed Utility-Scale Solar Projects

The Energy Facility Siting Council is currently reviewing seven proposed state-jurisdiction facilities in Oregon. Two of those facilities, Bakeoven Solar Project and Obsidian Solar Center, recently submitted complete applications for a site certificate. Now, ODOE will host informational meetings about each proposed facility so Oregonians can learn more about them.

Oregon Department of Energy to Hold Public Hearing on Rules for New Oregon Solar + Storage Rebate Program

This fall, the ODOE team has been working on developing Administrative Rules for a new solar and solar plus storage rebate program in anticipation of a January 2020 launch. ODOE is accepting public comments on the rules and will hold a public hearing on December 3, 2019.

Oregon Department of Energy Announces $1.25 Million in Grants for Renewable Energy Projects Across the State

The Oregon Department of Energy announced today six recipients of $1.25 million in Renewable Energy Development Grant funds. The RED Grant program supports Oregon businesses, nonprofits, and organizations investing in renewable energy systems that use biomass, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, wind, landfill gas, biogas, wave, tidal, or ocean energy to produce electricity.
